Joan Armatrading Visits Warrington Male Voice Choir

Star singer and songwriter, Joan Armatrading, visited the choir on 14th April 2008 to hear the choir rehearse concert pieces and record items for a Radio 4 series on choirs that have a story to tell.  There is an announcement about this on Joan's website at http://www.joanarmatrading.com/index.asp?m=news 

The rehearsal took place at St Oswald's Church, and included a quartet performance by Ian Vessey, 1st tenor, John Davies, bass, Keith Hobart 2nd tenor, and David Graham, baritone.  Joan also spoke to individuals about themselves, and what they, personally, got out of singing with the choir. 

We look forward with interest to listening to the series in May, but, as yet, we do not have a date for the programme on Warrington Male Voice Choir.  In the meantime, here are some mementoes of a very interesting evening.
