Choir attends 2008 Remembrance Day Service

Representatives of Warrington
Male Voice Choir again joined with members of the armed services, civilian uniformed
organisations, and civic and religious dignitaries, for the annual service of
Remembrance at Warrington's War Memorial on Sunday morning, 9th November, 2008.
The service, and Act of Remembrance, took place in the presence of a large
gathering of townsfolk.
Members of the choir ably
supported the community hymn singing with the excellent accompaniment of
Warrington Salvation Army Band. The dead of two world wars, as well as those of
recent and ongoing conflicts were remembered.
The 2008 services and Acts of
Remembrance, which took place up and down the country, also commemorated the
ninetieth anniversary of the signing of the Armistice in 1918 which brought the
Great War to an end.
