2009 September Concerts

Warrington Male Voice Choir took part in two concerts at Warrington's Parr Hall in September.  The first was a celebration of the music of the great Goff Richards on Thursday 10th, and the second was on the Saturday 19th with The Houghton Weavers.  Both concerts were well received by the audiences and made for two very enjoyable and memorable evenings.

1 Goff Richards - A Celebration Of His Music
The choir appeared as guests of Bactiguard Wire Brass to celebrate the music of Goff Richards.  The choir is well acquainted with Goff's music for male choirs, and has performed a number of his pieces over the years.  Cornish born Goff is a resident of Warrington. He well known for his choral works for male choirs, but is mainly famous for the work he has done in the world of brass music composition.

The choir shared the stage with Bactiguard Wire Brass, and their special guests the Brisbane Excelsior Band.  Have a look at a few images from the evening's proceedings.  Bactiguard Wire Brass are conducted by Paul Andrews, http://www.wirebrass.com  , and Brisbane Excelsior by Howard Taylor, http://www.ausbrass.com/xlcr/musicaldirector  .
