Update on ‘Thank You Terry’ Concert

On Saturday 16th April, the choir held a concert by way of a thank you to Terry Waite CBE for being our Patron for the past 20 years.  We were joined not only by Terry Waite himself, but by Bowdon Prep School Choir.

We had a wonderful evening and at the end the audience gave both choirs a standing ovation.  Lots of money was raised for Emmaus UK (a charity which Terry is President of and raises money for the homeless) and also Alzheimers UK (which is our charity of the year and very close to our hearts).

At the end of the concert Terry gave a short speech and thanked everyone and gave a little insight to his time spent as a hostage.  At the very end Terry spoke some inspiring words, particularly to the children and what he said was:-

“Keep music in your hearts, keep music in your soul and always remember music has the capacity to bring harmony both to yourselves and to this world”.

What an amazing man he is!  THANK YOU TERRY xx
