On Saturday 2nd July the Choir performed at Peninsula Barracks for their annual ‘Proms in the Park’ alongside the Band and Corps of the Royal Engineers, Warrington Pipe Band and Opera Singer – Jon Christos.
The concert had its challenges due to the weather – sun, rain, wind, you name it we had it!! Our poor Accompanist Helen Everett was stuck in a trailer to avoid electrocution whilst playing the electric keyboard!
The acoustics weren’t great and at times it was hard to hear the choir due to the wind, but as always we rose to the occasion as best we could. We’ve come to the conclusion that outdoor singing is not good for choirs. Still we hope you enjoyed it because we did – nothing to do with the wine and beer of course!!
It was also great to see old friends and make new friends.
