Bridegroom Conducts Choir
In keeping with its customary
tradition of singing at members' weddings, Warrington Male Voice Choir performed
at Padgate Methodist Church for the wedding of Gareth Roberts and Jane Wilkinson
on Saturday 5th May 2007. Gareth sings in the second tenor section of the choir,
and also, from time to time, deputizes as conductor, so it was only right, if
not a little unusual, for the bridegroom to "have a go" while waiting
for his bride to arrive.
As the images below
illustrate, he got into the act enthusiastically. What better way to pass the
time, conducting a choir, rather than sitting there chewing your nails? The
choir does not know, as yet, what Jane thought of the idea!

joining the choir later this month in Montréal.
