Warrington Male Voice Choir
The Last Concert of 2007
Unusually for the choir, the last
concert was not the previous Saturday night at the Parr Hall, Warrington, but an
engagement at the Victory Hall, Mobberley, Cheshire, on Friday 21st December,
2007. There is a photo of this delightful village hall to be viewed at http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/81826
and more information at http://www.mobberley.themutual.net/victory-hall.htm
The
concert was arranged by Keith Hobart (left) of the village hall committee, who sings
second tenor in the choir. Keith sang the beautiful tenor solo in Silent
Night performed by the choir at all its Christmas concerts this
year. The choir reprised much of the Christmas repertoire performed
at the Parr Hall to an enthusiastic and receptive audience. The choir's
traditional rendition
of Schneewalzer was heard and enjoyed by a new audience,
but what the audience thought of Russell's Christmas joke is not known!
Have a look at the images below
to see what went on at the concert.

Russell delivers the punch line of a truly
atrocious joke about a three legged turkey.

The Christmas hat show, with the choir
launching into Schneewalzer..........

........ and concluding with the now famous
Schneewalzer sway, in which we hope that we get it right and nobody falls over!
