Choir attends Remembrance Day Service

Representatives of Warrington
Male Voice Choir joined with members of the armed services, civilian uniformed
organisations, and civic and religious dignitaries, for the annual service of
Remembrance at Warrington's War Memorial on Sunday morning, 11th November, 2007.
The service, and Act of Remembrance, took place in the presence of a large
gathering of townsfolk.
Members of the choir ably
supported the community hymn singing with the excellent accompaniment of
Warrington Salvation Army Band. The dead of two world wars, as well as those of
recent and ongoing conflicts were remembered, including Kingsman Alex Green,
2nd Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, a 21year old from Warrington,
who was killed in Basra earlier this year, and whose name is to be added to the
town memorial.
