The Parr Hall was filled to capacity on a very warm April evening as many came to enjoy the combination of Warrington Male Voice Choir and The Houghton Weavers, in the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Mrs Celia Jordan MBE. The Weavers entertained the audience in their own inimitable fashion with traditional folk and popular music interspersed with humorous anecdotes that had audience and choir alike roaring with laughter.

The choir dedicated its performance of The Lord's Prayer by Malotte to the late Stan Woods (see In Memoriam) and also performed other pieces from the repertoire that it will be taking to Montrčal next month.

The concert proved an enjoyable evening for all concerned. Have a look at some of the photographs taken on stage and some of the choir behind the scenes before the concert.

Who said it was a capacity audience? The two tenors
Making sure the men are fuelled up at the interval. Earnest conversation.
A cup of tea would do nicely, please. Anybody know what we're singing?
